I enjoyed the personal insight of the book from a time that most of us are unfamiliar with. His early childhood relationships, the life in Lahore and Kashmir in the 1940s was enlightening. It was also interesting to see his perspective on the Gandhis & the way political & bureaucratic life took shape after independence. His personal misgivings are concisely expressed to help you understand the time he lived in. It was a pleasure to visualise his life.I enjoyed the personal insight of the book from a time that most of us are unfamiliar with.
