Point Books Conducive To Cosmétique de l'ennemi

3.5 rating. Interesting twist. It started good and ended in that manner.REVIEW IN ENGLISHReading Amélie Nothomb's books is getting reacquainted with an old friend, since I've been reading all her novels for several years. In this case, this is a very short novel and one of her fiction works.Jérôme Angust is a businessman waiting for a flight. But it is announced that the flight has an undetermined delay, and that really makes him angry. Seconds later, someone starts talking to him. He ignores that person, but it seems to be really insisent. It is a dutch man called
Disturbing; a little weird; mostly dialogue. I would have rated it lower at first but the twists the story takes make it shine. Nothomb delves deep into human nature. She conveys in very few words what some authors dont manage in much longer books. The characters are vivid and complex. Her books always make me feel something, I'm never left feeling distant, bored. I'm moved to either loath the characters or feel sympathy. Sometimes, both, given the twists.

Once again she manages to completely blindside us. I wasnt ready for this ending I was really flabbergasted by how the book picked up right until the last page. I find highly impressive and at the same time fascinatingly disturbing the way she put the subjects into action. Her dialogues are truly a gem to read. Dysfunctional in a way indeed but truly riveting. I truly enjoyed this book.
buddy just put on headphones and turn on some music
